These Shades are Members of the Family, but do not exactly fit in with the rest of the members, and are occasionally questioned about them even belonging. They often tolerate it though.
The Sealed Shade is a… confusing member of the Family, as it is completely mute, instead speaking with sign language. It is also confusing, because instead of being Colored Black, it is instead a clear Gray. The Sealed Shade also happens to have a Set of Chains Around it’s torso, going over the shoulders and past it’s hips, with a lock in the center of it’s torso, holding the Seal in place. It also is bound by a seal of binding covering it’s body, which is only visible when struck. It seems to also have some form of stitching where it’s mouth would be if it had one, signifying it’s inability to speak. The Sealed shade has pure black eyes, The same color as a normal shade. It is unknown how this was achieved. It’s horns also are similar to that of the Hollow Knight, but bend more, and reach a point of being almost touching, above it’s head. I can’t give measurements yet as I don’t have a general height yet. It, like all other shades, lacks legs, instead floating, with tendrils of void beneath it. It floats about a foot or two off the ground. It stands at Roughly Four Feet tall, it’s horns making up about 6 inches of that height. It’s tendrils are each a foot long respectively.
The Tuber Shade is an entity always talking about a mysterious thing it calls a YouTube Channel. It is viewed as Crazy by it’s fellow Shades sometimes. It also behaves and dresses weirdly, compared to the rest of the shades.
A Shade that accepts the power of the Pink Crystals near the Peak of Hallownest. With such a strange power embedded in their void, they ascend like no other. As their Crystal Heart changes the familiar Blue engravings to a Pink hue, others gaze to the unfamiliar glow of this shade. It looks quite nice with the void, actually!
Having Accepted the Power of the Crystal Peak, the Supporter shade glows with an unfamiliar hue to the rest of it’s siblings, and is often thought to be not related at all, or questioned if it is truly a part of the Family. However, the Ascended Shade Accepts it nevertheless. The Supporter Shade’s Unfamiliar Hue is a pretty purple and black color.
The Cursed Child Shade is a very odd member of the Family.
The Cursed Child Shade is considered a very close friend of Lady Lifeblood herself, and often acts as the one who speaks directly to her, when the Family needs her aid.
These Shades have Accepted the Scarlet Flame, and Due to this, have become Stronger than the rest of their family, acting as the Brawn of the Family.
After Accepting the Scarlet flame, it became one of three Scarlet Flame Shades, gaining power only known to the other two. The weakest of the three Scarlet Flame Shades, the Flamekin shade is still viewed highly. It mostly creates defenses, and helps with worship. It is more of a Worker not a fighter, and hence works on things in the background while it’s Greater Scarlet Flame Siblings are out fighting.
Upon accepting a Scarlet Flame, this shade gains powers like no other. Handpicked by Grimm himself, these shades must enforce the rules upon other shades in the community no matter what role they are. Listen to the Grimmkin, as they protect The Grove from unwanted intruders.
After Accepting the Scarlet flame, it became one of three Scarlet Flame Shades, gaining power only known to the other two. Middle sibling of the Scarlet Flame Shades, The Grimmkin Shade is not the Strongest, nor is it the weakest.
After accepting the Scarlet Flame, and Devoting it’s loyalty completely to the Nightmare Heart Shade, the Nightmare Grimmkin Shade became the most powerful shade of the entire family, and was tasked with the most important job, protecting the rest of the family from any who desire to hurt it. It is the Brawn of the Family, the Ascended Shade being the Brains. It is one of the three Scarlet Flame Shades, and is the general Boss of the Other two Scarlet Flame Shades.
