“Some Grunts are so determined to break past the border, and I’ll never understand them. Don’t you see? I’m killing them mercifully. What the border could do to them will be so much worse than anything I could ever do.”
------Meet the Void. It’s a Shapeshifting entity prowling the border. Made to destroy things that try to get close, acting as the Ghost Leviathans of Madcom. It is massive in size as well. Creepy, female presenting genderless void beast is a cool concept.
------Backstory: Was once a G01 grunt who was bored of their boring life, and thus embraced the Void, the Machine, and the Border, giving up their original form, and becoming a creature born of Border and Machine. A massive creation with the purpose of destroying all who tried to break through the Border.
Extra Info: Typically chooses to appear as a vaguely humanoid, feminine figure.
“Likely smaller than the machine. Hunter-killer type. Machine tells it of Specific people it wants to not get sent to The Other Place. If a person of interest gets yoinked by Void (person), they get brought to one of the Machine's in-void Avatars.”
-Cross.
Quite a good singer. Can be caught humming to itself trying to pass the time. Can visit The Nowhere but basically nowhere else. Is the most comfortable in the Border. Will sing the Halo Theme. Hates silence, and has grown attached to the sound of clicking gears as a source of noise within the absolute silence of the border. If the gears stop, the silence basically crushes it, leaving it with nothing. The singing also helps.
Eight solid glowing white eyes staring out from the darkness of the border are the first sign that something is not right. The first sign that whatever you’re doing is not worth it. If you proceed closer, more will become visible. A head, without a mouth or nose, shaped like a deformed heart, with several horn-like shapes branching off of it. Are you really sure whatever you’re doing is worth it? As you get even closer, a misshapen torso becomes visible, what appears to be a rib cage and spine, bony and malformed in nature, with what appear to be hundreds of flailing… things behind it. As you get closer, the figure takes on more and more detail, the inscription of a gear on its forehead, its four long, bony arms, and a mass of writhing `tentacles' that you can only assume are its legs. As you get closer, everything inside you begins to scream at you to turn around. But you have to see if you can break through! That is, until you watch as a hand horrifyingly begins to emerge from the darkness, followed by a growl. And then… everything goes black.
